Title: Life excuses

Matthew 25:14-15 For it is like a man who was about to take a long journey, and he called his servants together and entrusted them with his property.
To one, he gave five talents, to another two, to another one—to each in proportion to his own personal ability. Then he departed and left the country [AMP] God has uniquely gifted us to be doers of his word. However the circumstances of life can facilitate our ability to make excuses like a buffet with multiple choices. If we are not careful excuses will become the normal outlet we take making us ineffective and hinder our walk in God. Fear, doubt and unbelief come as a package to influence our thoughts and actions. They blind us to the clarity of God’s word. The one key point in the parable of the five talents, was fear. It will cause us to compromise resulting in passive disobedience. Fear caused one servant to be ineffective in his task. Unfounded assumptions, and his lack of faith caused him to miss the blessings by passive disobedience. Personality is a component in life that if not tempered with the word of God can help or hurt us. While Adam had the intelligence to name every living creature, he did not reflect that ability when disobeying God’s command not to eat the fruit from the forbidden tree. Men of God there will always be instances and various reasons to rationalize why you cannot. However, the consequences can leave us with temporary and lifetime reminders. In the 25th chapter of Matthew, the bible shows us three views of the servants who were tasked by their master. The key is to focus on what each one of them did. Self evaluation done through the word of God can be liberating if done so with humility and the willingness to change. Fear is the catalyst that facilitates second guessing. The servant who hid the talent lost the blessing that accompanies obedience, his actions reflected how he lived. The servants who were given multiple talents reflected faith through obedience. Let your life reflect boldness that speaks of your talent
