With the pressure to conform greater than any other time in history, we are bombarded with information that overloads us with vast amounts of choices. Yet in the chaos of choice and the pressure to choose the stability and consistency of God must prevail in our lives.
It is important to understand that Paul made this statement not because he believed himself to be superior to anyone. In his love for the body of Christ the Apostle was highlighting the importance of how God’s word must filter out the issues of society. It is the unholy goal of the enemy to water down the power of God’s word.
Your choices must be filtered through the scriptures and focused on God. His word will validate the proper choices the we make daily. We must say with assurance as it is written in Matthew 4: 4 Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God. [AMP]
