1 Corinthians 13:1-2 IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by Gods love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
2 And if I have prophetic powers ( the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (Gods love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody).[AMP]
How is your walk of love today? The scripture this week provides us a compelling theme of Love! Have you checked your love today? If not, here’s how! Are you patient? do you always highlight the things you have done as if you are making a great sacrifice? do you consistently experienced frustration? Do people often see stress and anger from you? Have you made statement that sounds similar to this? I will only take so much of this or that?
Do you find yourself entertaining thoughts that do not reflect that which is according to Philippians 4:8. Which states; For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].[AMP]
When is the last time you rejoiced in God for what he has done for you? do you inspire hope for those around you? Do you understand long-suffering? These questions are critical in helping you gage how Gods love is seen through you. Do not allow these questions to put you in condemnation. Instead use them as springboard to step up your level of commitment that will reflect the power of God in your life so that it can be experienced by those you have interaction with daily.
Remember we live according to Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.[AMP]
Think about it!
