Genesis 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom You gave to be with me—she gave me [fruit] from the tree, and I ate.
**How** many times have you been in conversation with someone and heard yourself explaining why your actions or thoughts have not garnered the results that you intended? ‘Or’ You did not uphold the standard?
As we read in Genesis 3:12 Adam used Eve as the excuse, that resulted in unintended consequences. Adam avoided taking responsibility for his actions. Adam was ordained to be Eves protector, he failed to do so by using excuses.
Mulligans are not part of life’s do over. We see excuses in every aspect of society, in our government, God is looking for us to uphold the standard Righteousness! Not excuses to justify why we did not.
God’s Grace is part of the solution, as he displayed in covering Adam’s sin, But he did not excuse the transgression, Although God is merciful, excuses will hinder his will for us. We are directed to grow in the grace and knowledge of God! Growth should not be saddled with excuses.
What are the excuses that you use to justify your lack of time with God? What is the reason you are not the solid example of leadership that you should be?
Have excuses become your crutch for failure? We can all attest to the fact that life can provided the most difficult of circumstances, but in the moment of difficulty is only temporary.
We are challenged by Ephesians 6:13 Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place [AMP]
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing [AMP] These scriptures provided us with overcoming power to reject the ease of excuses.
