Number 13:30 Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once and possess it; we are well able to conquer it.[AMP]
Historical perspective grieves those who are spiritually mature at the rejection of Caleb’s faith when considering the powerful exploits of God in this story of deliverance of a nation. In life if we are not careful we will allow the circumstances to overshadow God’s power and ability to exceed our expectations. In life God hears our cry and delivers us from the bondages of life that hold us back. We must be willing to trust God not based on what we see but on his ability to do what we need.
Psalms 1:1 states; BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.[AMP]
As Caleb quieted the people and said let us go up at once, we are able. In our walk with God there are moments that will challenge us to believe seemingly impossible obstacles, You may even find ourselves standing alone and with skeptics all around. You must have courage to stand on the ability of God to perform! Psalms 34:3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.[AMP]
This must be our cry. Even when people reject our words and criticize our stance we must stand with the assurance that God has equipped us to overcome any obstacle. After enduring 40 years of waiting Joshua and Caleb possessed what the believed God for. Surrounded by doubt and fear they believed. Know that you are blessed! So what ever trial you are facing you are well able to overcome it.
