NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].[AMP]
Faith displays our trust
Faith illuminates our understanding
Faith shapes our purpose
Can faith fail?
If we could ask Moses, What would his answer be?
What about Abraham or Noah?
Could Enoch teach us what successful faith is?
In each question there are circumstances that influenced the faith of these great men. Each man displayed trust, obedience and confidence. Each man’s road had similarities and contrasts.
Abraham the father of nation, Moses, leader of a nation. Enoch had personal relation with God
that defied the process of death. Noah constructed the ark with no evidence of rain.
What can we learn from these men? What similarities do they have that we can relate to?
All these men reacted to circumstance in their walk of faith. Each made a choice in their varying circumstances.
For three of these men their choices produced consequences that contrasted with their faith.
Moses made a choose that denied him the promise land. Abraham made choice that caused strain in his marriage. Noah got drunk.
Enoch stands alone in the triumphant circumventing of the process of death.
In each mans situation there was a challenge. What ever your experience is, make the choice of
walking by faith not by sight!
Can faith fail? No, but we can choose not to act in faith.
