A consistent life

Joshua 24:15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; nevertheless, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. [AMP]

Joshua spoke these words with power and conviction. His words set the standard for a nation. For forty years Joshua’s walk was consistent. As a servant, Joshua was faithful, as a leader, he was the example. The accomplishments of Joshua could only be done by complete trust in God.

Joshua’s family lived with this example through the deliverance of nation, in the wilderness, and in the promise land. Today what does your family see? What is your confession? Are your actions consistent with your words? Every nuance of our lives must involve love. Love never fails. Our success can change the world, but if we do not do so with the love of God, then we are an empty shell that makes noise but adding nothing. Faithfulness, Trust and obedience will allow you to capture the heart of your family and influence world you live in.
